Welcome to Second Presbyterian Church Comber

A Biblical church. A caring church. A serving church.

About Us

Second Presbyterian Church, Comber (AKA Second Comber) was established many many years ago, way before any of us were even born!

We seek to be a Biblical church, a caring church and a serving church. Our vision is to be a church for the community, becoming a ‘new community’ in Christ.

Our doors aren’t just open on a Sunday, they are open most days of the week for our number of activities and organisations that meet throughout the week.

We are a congregation of all ages and we would love for you to join us and our community!

For more info on our church and organisations download our welcome pack here.

Our Services

Our Sunday morning services take place every Sunday morning in the Meeting House (the main church building). These services include prayer, praise and a sermon. During these services children will leave for Children's Church and Creche.

Sunday morning services commence at 11.30 from September -June and commence at 10.30 in July & August.

Youth
At Second

Second Comber is blessed with a large group of young people and are always welcoming new young people through our youth organisations.

Our organisations include YF, Crossfire, Panto, Holiday Bible Club, Wacky Wednesdays and Transform Thursdays alongside the more traditional organisations such as Girl's Brigade, Boy's Brigade, Sunday School and Children's Church.

Mission

We have a heart for mission both local to home and further afield.

In 2024, our minister Andrew visited Recife, Brazil and developed a strong connection with Paul & Suz Crothers who run Val De Senhor which is a facility that provides support to disadvantaged children young people through education, craft and sport.

In July 2025, we were blessed to send a team of 15 people to Val De Senhor to carry out mission work through building and children's ministry. We look forward to going back to Recife again in 2028.

Community Outreach

We have strong links with the local community of Comber and beyond. We are heavily involved in supporting community organisations such as Youth for Christ Comber (The Net Project), Comber Rec Football Club and more.

On the first Sunday of each month from September to June we have a more relaxed church service called Sunday Night Together which welcomes those from the community who prefer a more relaxed and contemporary style of church.

We also hold regular Alpha projects in association with the other church denominations in Comber.

Prayer Development

The 'Template for Group Prayer' that was used at Teach us to Pray on Sunday evening at church is now attached below, along with some sample answers. Why not use it to help you make the most of opportunities to pray with others?

If you would like some paper copies please speak to the Minister, Andrew.
